Day 5: Reunited!

On Day 5 we slept in, packed up, and drove to Laguna Beach. We had a picnic and let the kids play in the sand.

When walking back to the car Adelyn spotted this yellow fire hydrant and insisted on taking a picture of it to send to Lyla because "yellow is her favorite color".

We got to the Condo we were staying at in Dana Point and just hung out and explored until Eva and Sabine made it. We will definitely stay here again!  It is such a beautiful place and the condo was perfect. Literally, right across the street from a gorgeous semi-isolated beach.

That night we told the boys to go out, and the rest of us took the kids to the beach for sunset. Well, it ended up being too cloudy for a sunset, but it was still so beautiful and fun. I'm such a beach and ocean girl. It makes my heart happy. I would live in a coastal town in a heartbeat.

My kids were a little shy around Sabine at first. She was so cute with them! She wanted them to warm up to her so she started out with just parallel play...not too close...

But by the end she was digging in the sand with them and playing with them. She even saved Ryker from a big wave that rushed in unexpectedly! She is so sweet and so fun!

Oh how I love these people.
