The end of August we decided it was WAY past the time that we needed to get Ryker a big boy bike. He had still been riding his little Radio Flyer Tricycle. It was actually kind of humorous how silly he looked on it. While Adelyn and I went on our date night, Sean and Ryker went on their own date night to pick out a bike.
Ryker was beyond excited. He rode until it was dark, then the next morning insisted that him and daddy go on a bike ride together.
He had been asking us to take the training wheels off and we kept telling him he needed some more practice. Well, 2 weeks ago we took the training wheels off. We got him all geared up with knee pads, elbow pads and gloves and set him free.
He did awesome! He still needs some practice maneuvering and starting on his own (his bike is just a tad too tall for him), but he's getting better each day. We can't wait til Cohen can ride in the trailer so we can go on family bike rides.
