Ryker turned T-H-R-E-E years old on January 31st! We can hardly believe it. The celebrations started on the 30th with a joint bday party for Ryker and his cousin.
We sent the kiddos on a Birthday Treasure Hunt!
These pics CRACK ME UP! He just couldn't figure out that darn eye patch!
We sent them all around the house in their birthday hats and eye patches searching for the Birthday Treasure.
After the hunt Ryker and Raelee opened presents from Grammy and Papa. Ryker LOVED his.
(Side story: He loved them so much they caused a problem when going to bed. He was staying up playing with them for literally hours so I took them away. That triggered a WICKED tantrum during which he screamed at me "Grammy and Papa gave those presents to ME not YOU Mommy. You need to give them back or you're in trouble." He finally calmed down when we came to the compromise that his toys had to stay on his dresser, but he could have his flashlight to shine on them so he knew they were still there. That's exactly how he fell asleep!)
Then it was time for cake and icecream. The whole drive up to Ogden he kept telling us how excited he was for his birthday party, for his cousins to sing Happy Birthday to him, and for him to blow out the fire.
After he FINALLY fell asleep around 12:30pm or so (thanks to that little side story above) I was able to decorate his room for a fun birthday surprise...
I woke up to him that morning with his face right in my face saying "MOMMY! My room has LOTS of balloons for my birthday today!" Those balloons entertained him all morning...
As did his Jungle Friends from Grammy and Papa.
(He's really into organizing and grouping things lately. Wonder where he gets that from...)
Daddy made him his favorite for breakfast...
Next it was lunch with Daddy at Wingers. He LOVES the all-you-can-eat popcorn.
After lunch he picked out a movie from Redbox for "Quiet Time" (aka a way for me to disguise nap time). He woke up SO excited for the next chapter of fun...
Bowling at Fat Cats.
Sean's family joined us and we all had such a fun time!
Cake.
Happy Birthday to our AWESOME little man!
